Volleyball Skills Camps for Girls and Boys in Grades 5 and 6 

(ages 10 - 12, no athletes in Grade 7 please)

These camps introduce athletes to fundamental volleyball skills and use appropriate equipment so athletes experience early success (lighter ball, adjusted net height, modified court size, etc.). Basic skills that are introduced include overhead and forearm passing, hitting, blocking, and serving, all with form, fun and confidence building as the main focus. Modified game play takes place so athletes experience how skills are used on-court. The camps run throughout the school year in multi-week sessions.

The BEGINNER Camp is intended for athletes new to the sport and/or those who need some extra work on their fundamental skills. The ADVANCED Camp is intended for athletes who are confident that their skills are ready to be put into modified game play.

** Please note that coaches may suggest, when appropriate, that an athlete switches to the other Thursday class, to maximize that athlete's skill or modified game play acquisition opportunities.

Please bring clean indoor running shoes, comfortable gym clothes and a water bottle to the camp each day 

(kneepads are recommended for athletes and you can discuss this with your coach on the first camp day if unsure of what/where to purchase them)
