Kudos to Coach Lorne and the Elite Girls U15-U17 Summer Camp 2015 experience ...

Hello Lorne,

I just wanted to send you a note to say thank you so much for allowing [my daughter] to participate in your Elite Camp this past week. It was an incredible time of learning for her. We appreciate how much it challenged her and showed her where she needs to get to as a player. I know she found it difficult to be on the “low end” in terms of skills, but I also see how that put such a fire in her to get better. We watched your video and it was just incredible how high-quality this camp was in every respect. I feel that we have exposed our daughter to many different “camp” experiences, and this has exceeded (by far) every other experience she has had.

We truly feel fortune to have world-class coaches in our city with which our daughter has the opportunity to train. Aspire is truly a community and it is one which we feel grateful to be a part of.

I hope you have a wonderful summer!

A Thank-You extended to Coach Nicole Ban ...

ASPIRE,

I just wanted to pass along a note regarding a private session last night with Nicole. Nicole was just wonderful with my daughter and gave some great advice to improve her hitting. It was just a great experience and we will definitely be booking another session before Nationals.

A Thank-You from a Club Volleyball Parent

Hi Christy,

I just wanted to share with you that my daughter was offered a position with the U16 Pandas last night. She is absolutely thrilled and wanted to thank you but also Lorne and other coaches she has worked and trained with as well as the many Aspire camps she has attended. Her skills and confidence have increased significantly as result of all the training she has done with Aspire and were a big part of the reason she was able to reach this goal. THANK YOU!!!

"Just wanted to thank you so much for working with Brendan. He had an amazing provincial tournament. He even successfully executed a turn and burn that had everyone at the tournament talking about it. He won an all-star award and his team is coming home with a hard fought silver medal. He would not be the player he is without your hard work and coaching."

Congratulations to 15U Provincial All-Star Brendan!

Email to Coach Lorne from High School Athlete ...

My team won last night in 5 sets. My serves freaked out the opposition and I got 3 blocks in a row! Keep training me hard because it all pays off.

I have learned so much from the coaches at Aspire. Aspire allows me to focus completely on what I need to work on and the changes that I need to make. The coaches are always looking to make me a better player, and do a great job of finding different ways and different drills to help me make the adjustments that I am working on. I am very grateful to everyone at Aspire for all their help!

Anita - The King’s University College Athlete of the Week (November 1-7, 2010)

I have learned so much from Coach Lorne! Now I know how to use my long legs to get my body across the court in a short amount of time. I jump higher, I react quicker, and I hit and serve more accurately. Thank you for uncovering my potential.

Heather - U15 club volleyball player

I am truly fortunate to have Christy as my coach. I immediately felt as if Christy knew me and knew how to get the best out of me. Christy’s wealth of knowledge, presentation of skills and constant feedback is incredible.  I walk away from practice feeling energized and confident.  Thank you, Christy, for improving my game!

Robyn - U16 club volleyball player

Hey coach.......

I just wanted to let you know that I think a light bulb turned on (or at least a small somewhat dim light). Yesterday evening, I played with my Sunday team and I was placed from the middle position to the power position due to who we had showing up. During my first attack, I was
double blocked so I just dumped it behind the block and got a point. It was a great set, but there was no way that I was going to blow it through these 2 gorillas. But, throughout the games I was successfully attacking and getting points. In fact, there was one attack that I knew before hitting it that everything felt perfect. I was double blocked again by those 2 big gorillas, but I was able to power it through. It sure felt good.

Many of the team mates comment on the improvement, but all asked the same question. "... Where the hell did that come from?". They did not get it when I told them it was on the Supersonic Sawula training program. So, thanks for everything and I look forward to more progression with my crazy legs.

Rich - adult recreation league player

I see that my two daughters (13 & 17) have learned so much from Lorne during their semi-private training sessions. He is able to break down the skills for them, helping them make subtle corrections that have resulted in stronger passes, harder more accurate hits, and quicker movement and flow around the court. As I watched their first tournaments this year, it became very clear that these training sessions have helped immensely not only to improve their technical and tactical skills but also their confidence and abilities on the court.

Tara - mother of U15 & U18 volleyball players

I have a deep appreciation for professional instruction and I admire those who do it well.  Christy does it well!
