"Well, last clinic in Liberia (about 1 hr from the Nicaragua border). Bit hot, + 30 at 8 am, and this lasted until 11 am. At least I bought my hat and managed to get through it as it was sweating for everyone. Kids were keen (5 to 18) but 3 hours in the sun takes its toll.

Tammy was back to San Jose as her beach tour finished. She said she saw an Iguana that was at least 1 1/2 meter long with a waist bigger than mine - that would make it almost a bearded dragon.  Our ride was about 5 hours to get back. Lots of single lane roads in CRC.

On Sat we may have another beach tournament to look at in Atennas, about 1 hr away. Sat night is the ‘Festival of Light’ in San Jose - sort of parade with a celebration to Christmas. They started here around the end of November to get ready for Christmas. Holidays for the kids are from Dec through January (ours is in July-August).

Really think we had an effect here - lots of complements and lots of excited people. Theme was to ‘get outside of the box’ and "It is what it is - but ‘WE’ can make it better!” Or the excuses but forget about them and make things happen."

A pretty cool parrot and toucan's!
